We are delighted to announce The Film Office has been awarded the management of Waltham Forest Council’s Film Service.
From 1st May 2019 we will provide a one stop shop for all enquiries and applications for filming within the borough. We are very much looking forward to working with Waltham Forest Council, the residents of the borough and production companies alike in highlighting the diverse potential Waltham Forest has to offer as London’s newest filming destination.
Waltham Forest is the first ever London Borough of Culture, that will highlight the character, diversity and cultures of the borough. The film service will compliment this once in a lifetime celebration.
The borough has some fantastic locations such as Chingford Assembly Hall – a unique and versatile community space with a stylish lounge area, The William Morris Gallery – a Georgian house built in the 1740s & The Winns Gallery – a beautiful, contemporary gallery both located in the heart of leafy Lloyd Park and Walthamstow Assembly Hall – a Grade II listed arts, live music and recording venue to name but a few with multiple parks and open spaces available for filming.
The Film Office has a proven track record in providing and maintaining professional, considerate and proactive film management. We work hard to maintain an industry leading film friendly service while exploring the benefits that filming can bring to both it’s residents and the wider community.
Our reputation within the industry means that we are the first port of call for location managers and productions when looking for locations to source, plan and manage their location filming requirements with ease and efficiency.
The Film Office Director Dominic Reeve-Tucker said
“We are delighted to add Waltham Forest as a client borough and look forward to opening its doors to the creative industries. London is now the second busiest city in the world for filmmaking and its screen industries are a global success story. As London’s first Borough of Culture the film service will compliment ensuring arts and culture is placed at the heart of its communities.
We are dedicated to providing a holistic approach to film management in order to sustain filming in the long-term. Our successful track record and leading reputation within the industry has been recognised by Waltham Forest Council and we look forward to delivering a service that works for and benefits both the borough and industry.”
